Engine troubles
IM having engine troubles with my 86 f150. one night i was driving and it bucked, spitt and sputtered. The next day i changed the cap rotor and plugs. Went good for a day. I was at wal-mart and came out and it wouldnt start. Didnt know what was up. Kept sputtering from time to time. Today it shut off twice in a row, but fired it up and was fine.

It could be a number of things, First you would need to pull the codes from the computer on the truck. This saves you from throwinng money away.
