Hate to admit this, but mine, with a stock 400M will do 60mph at 2700 rpm with lots left on the pedal, and no over-drive. Haven't had a need to push it past that, but it's an 81 4x4 with a C-6 auto running on 3.73 gears and 31 inch tires....
One thing I do know, if I need to pass in a hurry, she gets up and goes, and does it WITHIN speed limits
How Fast can this trucks go foot to the floor (ON THE TRACK) with stock 302 AOD 3.55 rear end 235/75 15 rebuilded suspension measured in another vehicle or speed gun since you can't read the speedo past 85 miles or 140km
have you looked at the distributor? Stock model advance curves may not give you enough engine advance
with a built motor (assuming non-stock cam) at higher rpms. valve float becomes an issue above 4500 rpms
with hydraulic lifters and stock springs.

Had the 88 bronco with a 302, AOD, 3.55s, 235-75s, up to 96 according to the GPS. Also the 92 bronco with a 302, M5OD, 3.55s, 235-75s up to 104.
I just dont think the 302 has enough guts. My 80 sure didnt. On the floorboard it wouldnt do over 85. I dont rememeber if I had a peg or not.
Do some work to the motor. Open up the exhaust with full lenght headers and 2 1/2 dual exhaust or a 3 inch single. 4 barrel intake and carb and a cam swap would do the trick. Something as mild as a 268 gross duration cam shaft will make all of the difference in the world.
Hope I am not being harsh, but I just dont think you have enough power to push the brick any faster.
