Chopping the top
hey guys, I've got the article Pegalis wrote regarding a top chop, but he never said how to affix the rear hatch to the body in order to retain the spare mount and all. has anyone done this yet? thanks.

Welllll......
Well a buddy and I have cut the top off an 86 BII but we didnt try to salvage the spare tire rack. i will tell you that it is one hell of a time in those things with not top. LOL we even covered ours in that silver aluminum tape and put in pieces of rubber so people wouldnt cut there fingers on the jagged edges.
