Yeah check out my gallery that Bradycouchman linked, I did a 3" chop and slanted the front glass back.
For this you will need to pie cut the pillars like in the picture.
You can also chop it by quartering the roof.
This means you will need to cut the roof in four pieces to widen and lengthen it. Also if you go this route you don't need to pie cut the pillars to slant the window.
This way of a chop will give you a more boxy look.
