Transfer case clutch diagnostics
I'm going to try a rebuild on my old dana 28 TC instead of getting another bone-yard replacement. The current unit on the van seems to be causing vibration/noise at 45+ mph (it's 1 1/2 year old from the junkyard).
Does anybody know how to test the clutch pack and other internals to see if it's worth rebuilding? I don't really want to spend $170+ on a rebuild kit to find out later that the clutch pack is toast!!
