Just bought a 2001 e150 5.4. I would like have the power curve/redline info to help me manage the transmission in the mountains while pulling a 6000lb trailer.
I agree with LxMan1. My 5.4 Expy pulls strongly between 2500 and 2800rpm. I had to pull a tandem-axle car trailer loaded-up with a mid-size import SUV on it for 5 hours last year. I took the Expy's trans out of O/D and the RPM's were right in that peak torque band at highway speeds. She pulled like a dream the entire trip.
My 5.4 F150 is a great tow rig. Its got plenty of power at 2500 to 2800 rpm. I used it several yrs towing a 3500 lb cargo trailor. It handled it with ease.
