Fuel Sending Unit Float
Outside of mail order, is there anywhere else to get a sending unit float for a cab tank?

try a pill bottle of the size that fits the holder, you'd be surprised how well that works...

Another vote for the Ford Dealer. My dealer had them in stock and very inexpencive. $6.

Another vote for the Ford Dealer. $4.27 and about 25 min... Never to pass a gas station in error again!

$6.29, that's what it cost to fix.
Incidently, the guy said the sending unit, itself, is available under some mid-70's superceeded number. I thought the sender wasn't available from the dealer.

Part # for the entire sending unit is D7TZ-9275-G
Ford says it's $80.97
Carpenter's has one made by Stewart-Warner for $65 + shipping.
