sending unit questions
Hey guys been putting a lot of work and money to get my truck on the road and today I pulled the front tank out and pull the pump to find the float has dissenagrated and is no more use to the pump. I looked around and a new pump is 180 the new float assembly is 120 I looked at Lmc bronco graveyard and some other places and found a float that looks like the one i have in my pump for 5 dollars. The thing is its says its non efi and for an 88 or so. The link to what im looking for as a float is at the bottom my question is why cant i use this float on my pump?

Thats a good question... Looks exactly like the float on mine and all it does is whats its name implies... float. It floats on top of the fuel to adjust the fuel sender for the reading..
I think the people selling it probably dont know what the heck they're talking about.. Or maybe I dont? But I dont see any difference in what sort of injection you're using.

thats what i thought as well. It cant just be them because lmc has the same thing and so does a few others! But the assembly is 120 or so but if you just want the float it seems like that would work but I dont want to buy it and find out it doesnt work ya know
