I don't like the sound of that, the last time I had a bad diaphragm that leaked down on it's own, I got a new tax break.

Well, bleeding down is not exactly what I meant...but anyways.

If the diaphragm in the wastgate actuator did fail, the wastegate would not open, and that's a good thing. It's the reason we disconnect the red line in the first place.

Well guys, the new trans is in and WOW! Huge difference!

Nice crisp firm shifts. No slamms though. It's not near enough to bark the tires or anything, but if I gave it more power (program), the tires i'm sure would just roast. It almost can now.

The annoying squeek and lugging is history, and I love the NAPA 6637. And "the woosh" lasts a long time on grades.

The walker BTM is a little quiet for my taste, but is palatable to my boss (reads Wife).

Thanks everybody for all the help and advice. In the end I'm happy with the way everything works. Sure was a little costly though.

Expensive news, but good news. Glad it worked out for you.

I'm not a fan of the BTM either. There are several other that sound a lot better without being too noisy in the cab. If I'm not mistaken, Mark Craig of http://www.dieselperformanceparts.com/ is one of this sites sponsors. He can hook you up with a much better sounding muffler that flows at least as well.

Good choice. There's nothing wrong with the BTM, it a good (and inexpensive) muffler. I just don't like how it sounds on the outside. In the cab I always thought it sounded pretty decent.
