The rear Bronco benches are so comfy!!
Probably to narrow since they fit btw the wheel wells of a bronco.

I know this could be a dead thread but had a question. I have a single cab 78 F-150 with a bench seat. I found a rear bench seat out of a 1996 f-250. Will this also bolt up without any modifications?

No. It won't work. You can go up to 1990 for the seats. But not back to front.

Awesome, thank you for clearing it up! Looked like it might be close to fitting but not in the position to be doing fab work to make it fit.

One more question for this thread, I think it will work but double checking with the experts before buying. Front bench seat out of a 92 F-250, should bolt up without and modifications right? I have a 78 single cab.

Yes so long as its a plain Jane bench and you have your original rails/tracks.

some of the fancy 60-40 split benches might give you trouble.

You never know what’s been done after all these years…mine had problems because it took me a while to figure out somebody swapped in early 60’s rails.

Perfect! As far as I know mine has the original rails/tracks so I will roll the dice. Its the plain bench, no split. It's wired for lumbar support but I am not going to mess around with that. Just looking for something a little more comfortable and not be sitting up so high.

Awesome thread, I'm glad I found it.

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but has anyone done King Ranch seats in a 78-79? We have an expedition with these seats and we love them. I found a rear bench from a 2008 F250/350 King Ranch, and I would love to swap that in my 78 F250 Ranger.

Any input is appreciated!
