78 auto shifter
ok, i just got my 78 up and running, but the shifter on the column is worn so bad that it won't go into low gear..... can you get parts for these, or should i try and find a junk one worth using?? btw, it's a non-tilt column..
also on this truck, when you put it on acc. the alt. light comes on on the dash.... is this normal.... my 77 and 79 didn't do that

well i found a few places that had them. but i was in town today, and stopped at the ford dealer to ask them. they actually had one in the deep dark resscess of thier stock room attic....... and it was only 78$ canadian taxes inc... all the mail order ones were 40$ -$50 usd,, that's around $100 with shipping... ford actually had something cheaper... imagin that
