One of my sons buddies broke down in my driveway this weekend. The S10 blazer is now in my garage. I know, I know. a chevy in a Ford garage. I am trying to test the fuel pump as I am not getting any gas. The manual locates the fuel pump test plug on the drivers side near the ABS.
There is one plug there that is not connected to anything. Is this is?
should be it, dont worry, i usually only have chevys being worked on in my garage... if i have a ford in it its because i did something stupid like drive on ice and fall through!
lol, yea replace that filter... then yes 12v should turn the fuel pump on... id pull the lines off the carb, fuel injectors and clean them after u pulled that nice filter... sounds like crap might be in the system
I have no clue how to help you, but can say this...my wife owned a 95 S10 Blazer, we had alot of problems with it, and the major reason we traded it in was because the Central port injector CPI or spider as one tech called it, kept failing. I do remember that it was a big problem for the 4.3 liter Vortec engines. The entire manifold has to be pulled off to get to the CPI and the CPI was expensive 6 years ago. I bet a Chevy dealer would want at least 500 or 600 bucks to change one these days.
What a nightmare. Broke both rollover valves trying to get hose off them. No one in town has the proper size connector hose from fill tube to tank. Parts so far are about $600.00. My sons freind is only 16, this is a months salary for him. I hope the CPI is not dammaged from a of the dirty gas going to it.
Fuel pump, filter. Had to replace regulator also, (it did not survive the disassembly) Replace both roll over valves also. Broke trying to get hose off.
Side note: This kid showed up last night with a subwoofer and amp. My son and his buddy just stand there and ask "Can you install this" I laughed, Cameron, the owner of the Blazer said, "Just send me a bill". I must be getting soft. I started the installation.
