how do you know???
hey i've got one for the gurus.how do you know when the torque converter craps out? The reason i ask is because i've never had a tranny just quit on me.There have always been warning signs.This one just quit.I'd hate to spend the $3500 i don't have on a tranny and find out only the t/c was bad. any help is GReeeeatly appreciated.thanks

My brothers torque converter was going. What it would do is slip then catch just on the start up or down shifting. We pulled the converter changed it out and it runs fine now. 2001 7.3 F250
My torque converter on my 99 had a bad vein inside of it. Made allot of noise we changed it out and it runs fine now.
Both torque converters we used were from junk yards. Figured will change it out to a reman unit when we do a full trans rebuild.
