Need help..trans over heating and leaking

I hear you, Copper. After thinking about it for a little bit, you know what the "issue" is, with middle class famalies, in 2005? The cost of a new vehicle! I mean, during the 60s (I wasn't driving then) 70s, etc. You could buy a brand new car, truck, van etc. for say $5400. You'd put $2500 down, and finance the rest. Interest rates were low. You'd make car payments for three years (36 mo.) that fit your budget, + insurance. At the end of 3 years, 4 years max, you owned a 3-4 year old vehicle outright, which still ran and looked new, with minimal effort. Now, so many times people get "upside down" where their vehicle cost much, much more to pay off, than it's actually worth. I see it happen all the time with others, so that is an uneeded expense I am trying to avoid at this time, as my kids approach the time they are ready to become adults. Okay, stepping off my soapbox now, back to our originally scheduled Aerostar discussions! ... Ed
