balance?

I am wondering does the flexplate have to be in phase with the crank and balancer for proper balance or can you just bolt it on?

I take you didnt have the rotating assy..balanced?? Because I allway's buy a zero balance Harmonic ..and have everything from the Flex plate or Flywheel balanced with the internals...

Maybe I'am just worrying about too small of S**T?? LOL... But thats me!!

The flex plate only goes on one way. the holes are offset just enough to do this.

In an ideal world, your "internally balanced" FE can have the flywheel bolted any-which-way, because there is no counter-weight on the flywheel.

428's have them, FT's have them, the rest of the FE's do not.

But, the flywheel only goes on one way, like Randyb12 said

I've been caught by a 360, with a counterweighted flywheel, that my brother rebuilt. Funny, I kinda think it was a 361 crank... anyway.
