whats a good down pipe?i seen magnaflow have a 4 inch one but dont sell it seprate.whats another good one.hog makes a 4 inch.whats better a 4 inch or 31/2 sorry for all the questions i am just new to diesel been learnig alot off this site.thank
Unless you already have a system replacing the down pipe by itself is not going to do much for you. We ONLY have 3.5 inch down pipes as they are the only ones that fit everytime, the 4.0 ones tend to fit OK but in a lot fo cases it hits the firewall when you tow or wail on the fuel and the engine torques over etc. Not to mention some of the times you have to modify the firewall soemtimes to get it to fit at all. Plus the VRT turbo just doesn't need it anyway. If you need a system or down pipe just give us a call at the office and we will be glad to help you.
i took it to the muffler shop and had them cut as far forward as they could leaving the stock downpipe and ran 4 inch with no cat and put a magnaflow muffler.i am just woundering would it make a differnts now to get a down pipe?
