5 bolts equals FE motor, which is generally difficult to identify on appearances alone. Try the FE forum here for some specific help trying to identify your engine.
You have an FE motor...not sure if it is a 360 or 390? I read earlier that the block had a casting of 352??? If that is correct, then it is a FE engine. ALL FE's have that casting...
If you go to the FE chat room...you will find a lot of info for it. If I recall the only way to know what FE you have...is to remove a spark plug...and measure. All that info is in the chat room.
It looks like a '75 F150 body swapped onto a later 78-79(?) F250 frame. I believe it was originally 2wd and someone wanted 4wd.
Just my opinion, since I don't know much about pre 80 trucks. But if it was 77 or earlier, it would have a divorced tcase. OR it could have been swapped.
Make you kinda wish somebody kept notes along the way, huh? I at least save the receipts and label old parts in the box the new stuff came in. But a log of swaps and from what years the parts came from might prove useful later.
