Yeah that is what I was wondering when he was putting on the drive flanges...Rockwells are tough but I dont think the stock shafts are going to hold with 850 horses and 20'' beadlocks and 50'' tires.
i absolutely loved the part where Stacey himself was trying to explain the 4 wheel disc brakes and he said (i quote) "these pinion brakes just wont stop big ole 49" monster tires"... yea considering they were designed to lock up 53" michelins on pavement (and they will too!!!)
2 big problems with pinion brakes: First, they get REALLY hot if you try to stop while doing any kind of speed. Even at lower speed the heat is still a major issue. Personally I wouldn't consider them for anything that ever did more than maybe 20mph except as a parking brake. If you don't believe it check out how many monster trucks set themselves on fire every year due to pinion brakes. Second, if you're not running a spool you really risk not being able to stop when you need to because if you're in an off-camber situation and one tire starts coming off the ground the other one can continue spinning even with the brakes "locked".
