4X4,4X4 OffRoad, Whats the difference?
Whats the difference between a 4x4, and a 4x4 Offroad? I have a 2000 SDCC4x4 with nothing no sticker on the bedside just wondering what the diff. was.

4x4 Offroad Package includes transfer case and fuel tank skid plates, unique "4x4 Off-Road" pickup box decal (requires all-terrain tires and limited slip axle)...

Also depending on other packages and model year, I believe tire/wheel combination, ride height, and suspension(shocks) vary from the straight 4x4 package

I have a 2001 F250 CC 4x4 with the "4x4 Off Road" package. It has the skid plates, but no LS differential.

I also have a "4x4 Off Road" '99 and the only thing I noticed was skidplates. oh, and a shiny sticker. no LSD or anything else.

4x4 offroad
the same goes for me too, 2002 4x4 offroad, skid plate w/out limited slip.

05' Lariat w/ skid plates, LSD, emblem, rancho suspension, etc...

02 lariat 4x4 no offroad, skidplates w/o ls diff.

Dealer put the skidplates on for less than the package would have cost.

04 XL sticker says 4X4, has LSD, no skidplates. Seems to me the LSD is a APR. $ 200.00 option on Fords?

That thread was talking about the FX4 package, which is different from what is being talked about here, correct? Because the FX4 was not available in years we are talking about in this thread.
