390 assembly has begun.....
After spending a lot of money and a lot of time gathering parts.....and after learning alot from lurking around here.....engine assembly began today....it was fun, exciting, and I have to admit a little scary.....I can't wait to find out if this collection of parts will perform to my expectations....and it's not just the motor...but the whole truck.....
anyway....the pistons are installed...and so is the CC xe262 cam I decided on...I dealt with the rear main cap and those side seals and the rear main seal succesfully (fingers crossed) .....
So tomorrow ...get the timing chain on.... and the heads...etc..etc
It's a special feeling doing this....because the opportunity to build a motor like this doesn't come around that often for me....
