Hi-Flow Cats question.

As of now, I have no cats going thru a flowmaster. I love how it sounds, but I need to get a cat down there, though. I was wondering how much a catco hi-flow will affect the sound? Anyone know? Thanks.

It'll quiet the sound down a bit. My buddy has a '96 with one hi-flow cat and straight piped from there back. It's not very loud at all. It's just a tish louder than my '95 with the first cat and a si/do FM 40.

Beings you have no cats now, you're going to be dissapointed by the loudness when you put one back on. Whether it's hi-flow or not, it'll cut out some of the sound.

I probably didn't help you any, but it's my $.02 worth.

The guts in a cat will restric it, it really doesn't matter how much or little there is. So it will probly bother you when you do put one on. Same as Rice said.

That would be a VERY good idea, although I think they'll do a lot more for performance than for sound.
