What does the tie rod end bolt to on the spindle? And is it a tie rod end that has the bolt, cotter pins, stuff? Somebody said that it's the ball joint. Anyway, the hole in the spindle is "WHOLLERED" out. Its got like a rubber bushing there between them parts. Every time I cut my wheels, feels like the passenger tire is dragging and 'bout to break off. The problem is, though, on my passenger side. Had somebody "shim" it up with two 3/4 washers, but still doing the same. Just wanting to know what to ask for??? and by the way how much does it usually run??

That little arm with the hole in it that juts out from the spindle > Is part of the spindle casting.

You need an auto wrecker part.
That part new from Ford *if they have it* will be well over $300.00

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-Dec-02 AT 01:34 AM (EST)]todd_adams2001,

okiebronco is right, what you are talking about is the steering knuckle.

Time for some wrecking yard hunting. You will probably have to hit some smaller out of the way yards to find old parts like that.

I know in my area, the big yards have long ago crushed that stuff.

todd_adams2001, Someone on here may be able to lead you to one through an internet parts search.

One off a 78 or 79 big Bronco will fit it also.

Good luck.
