2006 F250 passenger side outside tie rod end
I have a worn tie rod end on the passenger side. It is the tie rod end that goes from stearing arm to stearing arm. I bought a Moog tie rod end (ES80755) at Advance auto today. I have a few questions. It looks like i should be able to take a measurement or count turns to adjust good enough to go and get an alignment. It also looks like I should be able to loosen the bolts for the clamp on the threaded end. Then remove the cotter key, castle nut, and the the nut from the from the stearing arm end. The bushing on that end looks like it is just a through hole. Do I need a tie rod separator to get the tie rod off ?
Does the tie rod have grease inside of it from the factory, because the factory tie rod that it bolts to does not have a grease fitting. If not how do I grease it.
