Well I just got finished using the Craftsman 5/8 shiny and I really had to stand on it. Yes I used a cheater bar and she held up pretty damn good. No spreading or slipping what so ever. I'm impressed, guess I'll keep these!

Now that you guys brought this up, I might use shiny for standard and metric as standard or vice a versa.

The "bling" wrnches are a nice looking set I belive it just depends on what you like they are cratsman so if you are not happy break them and go get a new set one at a time LOL. as for the made in Japan insignia most anything can have the usa stamp on it as long as a precentige of the work to the wrench is preformed in the us like the chroming.

I have turned wrenches for the last 45 years and I want whats most comfortable. Thats why I only buy the smooth ones, not the raised panel ones like craftsman standard. The craftsman professional wrenches are excellant tools. Also watch that the edge is not sharp. When you pull on the edge all day it can hurt your hand. Get the longest wrench you can. Trying to loosen a tight fastener with a short wrench is tough. A long wrench is so much easier.
