Question Going for a visit

Nymo Jr. wants to go for a tour south of the border. So we're going down in the basement; or coming out of the attic, depending on your POV.

We'll be cruising around the north-central area of the U.S. around July 22-27th. Any suggestions worth looking into; that a normal un-informed tourist might not be aware of. We like planes, trains and automobiles. Information on any of these type of museums or displays would be welcomed.

We'll just be going wherever the wind takes us that week; so we're open to all suggestions.

Thanks

Canadians use different calander's? It is July down here.

Anyway, it would help if you kind of pin point the area your going to be. So much to do down here in every area it is hard to tell you where to go.

If you get to Chicago, try to visit the Museum of Science and Industry, the Field Museum, the Planatarium, the Aquarium as well as a multitude of downtown landmarks like the Sears Tower, John Hancock Building, etc. I grew up there and we went to a lot of those places on school field trips. It's also a great town to find any kind of ethnic food as well.
