Going to Seattle

This is fine, price is better, remember you are near downtown but still comfy enough and clean etc:

Those are the two places we stay when visiting our daughter at Seattle U. Both are fine to stay at. There are plenty of others nearby, but I have not stayed at them. Parking will be extra and bring your heart meds on that one.
Seattle has a decent light rail, the Link, and it's not too far off. They also have the ****, the South Lake Union Trolley, so look at the map and find south Lake Union, again, not a bad area and there may be a couple contenders there.
You may be on a driving tour, but if you can avoid having to drive to the Space Needle etc, you will be happier for it.
Good luck and have a good time.

Also, I have stayed at the Red Lion (downtown) and the Rennaisance. Both were fine, no problems. Parking was somewhat akward at the latter.
Wow! Octopus for breakfast. We also ate at the Spaceneedle, where I lost no time pointing out Seahawk stadium to my ardent 49er loving family
. Going to and from Seattle, we ate at a joint called Country Cafe just north of Vancouver, Wa. Best hashbrowns I have eaten in a long time.
