Oh no the case's are much different. It just means that for $25 on Ebay you can buy used Trac-Loc units and for about $166 after shipping you can have it like new again, provided the case isn't torn up. You do need special tools do rebuild the Trac-Loc, however any shop that works with Dana axles should have it. I had a Chevy dealer do mine and they had the tools for Dana 44's that used to or still are in Vettes.
None of the ones I have had or friends have had. I think there are certian heavy duty axles that were 35 spline. The Front 60's were usually 35 spline. Back in the early 70's-60's they were 16 spline or something like that......
