cruise and horn doesn't work

cruise and horn doesn't work
I've just purchased a used 2002 crew cab 4x4 powerstroke and the horn and cruise don't work I've checked fuses and they're ok any suggestions would be appreciated. By the way I'm new here only my second post..Thanks

If you are sure the fuses are good, maybe take the cover off of the steering column and see if you have broken wires there.

Did you take a test light and see if you have power to them? I would still remove the column cover and check where the wires rub when you turn the wheel. You are a braver man than I am if you'll mess with the air bag. I would be affraid that sucker would go off in my face.

I'll check in the morning to see if I have current and also check clockspring. p.s. I disconnected battery and was very cautious when removing airbag..Rodney

Not sure if this fits you or not but there are fused in the dash and under the hood. Some of the ones under the hood are Maxi fuses (bigger fuses). This is where I found the fuse for my cruise and back up light there and it was blown.

well I've got horn and cruise working . First of all I did'nt have owner's manual, so I went to dealer and got printout of cruise and horn schematics and fuse #'s turns out manual shows fuse that wasn't in printout .To make long story short fuse was burnt ,tracked down one of the dual horns was not working causing fuse to blow. Now cruise and horn both work..Thanks a whole bunch for all the posts...............Rodney

My cruise and horn are not working either. Do you remember which fuse number it was?
I noticed that under the steering wheel, I am missing relay #3. The owners manual says that is for the horn. Does anyone know what size or part number relay that should be?

My truck was an 02 and I don't remember which fuse it was but it was one in the fuse box, they had two fuses for the horn if I remember right. sorry can't be of more help..........
