How long would a '05 JOB #1 BUILD IDENTIFIER truck have been sitting on a lot?
As most '05 F350s I see now are JOB #2

Yep- Job #1 is the initial build run in the model year.

Is it me, or does it sound like it would be "better" to have a Job #2 build? It seems as though having the latter the "problems" at the plant MAY have been ironed out... I'm not really bothered by having a Job 1 build, since the difference between the 05's and the 06's seem minimal, but are there people that specifically LOOK for this indentidfier when looking at a vehicle? Is that something a consumer can track?

It's just an internal invoice identifier- most consumers aren't even aware of what it is. We just look at invoice dates. Job #1 orders are our initial build orders for any model year. If there aren't any drastic changes, I can't see it would make any difference to the end user.
