Or go the legal route without the stink by getting a high-flow. Remember this is a federal law, and I'm sure if a cop was pissed enough he could impound your vehicle for inspection.

 

theres no way they could find out unless they went and took apart your exhaust system.

 

I guess if the cop had a REALLY bad case of PMS, and he knew what he was talking about he could probly tell if it was gutted by the smell and sound but most won't bother as more money is to be made sitting on thier A#$es at spped traps.

 

All I was trying to give was the legal route lol. Personally I have a gutted cat, and haven't ever had any troubles as far as the cat goes.

 

I know, I never ment anything, I'm just reminding people of what cops are like. LOL. They ain't made quota and they will nail you for anything they can.

 

ah, yea, i know first hand how cops are, one of them thought my truck was run straight piped and wanted to inspect my vehicle for the required exhaust stuff. i told him i wasnt, and he needed a warrant to get near my truck. he finally got mad and left.

Just google your state. But as I found out with mine, it was a city ordinance.. and of course there's no way to find this out online. Actually what happened with mine is the ordinance number was like 25297 on the ticket and I asked to see it in writing, and they couldn't find it in any books they had there so I was so close to getting off! They kept pulling up like marriage laws and stuff. But finally they found it.. $85 for non-stock exhaust.
