v10 vs. 6lit. sillyness
Thanks to Greg250 for trying to run with with me.
Lets try something else...how 'bout round tires vs square tires.

Hmm.... could be taken in a few different ways....please elaborate.
In the end, I purchased a new V10 because even the low-milage super clean used ones go for so much that I decided to go all the way. And although considering resale value is a factor for many, as a truck which is to be used {as carefully as possible} in a roofing business, it will suffer in value anyway. The real value here is what it can do in helping to earn a living.
So...in 5-6 years maybe we'll pick up one of those diesels...the new 6.5 {just speculating here}....made by a german or japanese outfit....built for Ford. No doubt WHATEVER HAPPENS, 5 years from now A Ford diesel will be far more advanced/refined , with another 100ft. lbs. of torque {just speculating here} and another 80-100 horses {just speculating here}.
In the meantime, I like the quiet, acceration, and pulling power of the V10. If/when I get passed on the road while towing, by a diesel which is towing, I'll tell myself they earned it, because they did pay for it.
Whatever else it is, it's far better than my old 77 F350 460 flatbed which I ran daily for 12 years...through all the electrical shorts, chronic overheating problems, and 5 transmissions.
...Why anyone would want to buy a rattling box of marbles is beyond me

To bad.
I wasn't going to try another 6.0 PSD. I am not a rich man but the decision to go V10 was not to save money, but to get a vehicle I could have confidence in.
I have posted many negative posts in the past about the 6.0 and I don't even want to go there any more but at the same time I am tired of hearing people say what I said for 11 years, " I'll never own a gasser again ." I said this in so many posts over in Diesel Stop and guess what, I was wrong. This truck does everything I need it to do and more. Will I ever make the statement that I will never own a Diesel again.
No, I have learned my lesson, if my needs change, maybe I will buy another diesel down the road, but it won't be a 6.0 PSD. I hope the 6.4 is awesome in every way.
