5.0 and E4OD combo?

5.0 and E4OD combo?
Was the E4OD transmission offered as an option in combination with the 5.0L engine in 1995 or 1996 F-150 4x4s? All I have seen are the 4R70Ws. Strange, but the 4.9L six usually seems to have the E4OD. Anyone in the know?
I've had too many problems with the 4R70W, but don't care to go the manual route.

You could try 1-800-392-3673. That is the # for Ford Mo Co. Customer help, but I recently called them to find out how many 88 F-250's had the 460 in them and all they could tell me is how many 88's had 4x4. They said that there were just too many options to break it down any further than that. Might be worth a shot though. Karl...

Couldn't tell you if the E4OD came with the 5.0 but I can tell you that my 4R70W lasted 130K before giving me any trouble. 36k after rebuild and shift kit install and its better than before. Sorry to hear about your troubles.
