I would check caster first.

could you possibly take a picture of it? If you mean the pinion of the axle is pointed upwards, causing the driveshaft to be closer to the engine? If the pinion is pointed too high up your steering wheel wont want to center itself after making a turn, and the pinion bearings wont get enough lubrication. Is the truck lifted? if so, how much?

A new driveshaft wont fix the angles.

I drew this up in MSpaint...tell us which one your axle looks like and we can tell you how to correct it:

Your pinion is pointing down!? (nice drawing btw amtek). Since you mentioned you swapped this in, if the pinion points down like that after bolting up you need to rotate your perches and get your u-joints in phase.

What about adding a steel shim to the leaf pack? With the center bolt running through it, It should still be safe. I had to do this to mine after bolting the sky jacker 4 inch lift leaf springs. It left the pinion pointing downwards so I clamped the leaf springs together, took the center bolt out and slipped in a 4 degree shim with the thick side towards the front. This brought the pinion angle to zero.

You can certainly use a shim if its not off that much. He kind of made it sound majorly bad...which is when a shim becomes a non-possibility and your stuck rotating your perches. But shims are worth mentioning since we really don't know HOW many degrees off his is.

Without any precise caster angle being known, it's impossible to know how much you can shim the axle for pinion angle. Keeping in mind that pinion angle is relitive to caster (unless you turn the C's), meaning you only have so much pinion angle to spare before you run out of acceptable caster degrees. It's a compromise. Either way you can only shim maby 8 deg. before you put the u bolts into too much of a bind & with a front Dana the drivers side perch can not be moved, it's part of the pumpkin. Hope this helps.

Its really hard to know without the actual angle. I'm glad Mark spoke up though....I actually meant rotate the "c"s not the perches....if the angle's so bad as to actually need it. Brain thinks one thing fingers type another. I do know one thing for sure...dynamite would fix it
