Hydroplaning Issues

Is anyone else finding that it's terribly hard to drive their truck in the rain? It seems i hydroplain everytime i hit a good sized puddle.........and i have plenty of tread on my tires........although i dont really have another vehicle to compare it too it can seem to get hairry and everyone is passing me as im white nuckling my steering wheel. Maybe they're just idiots who aren't worried about wrecking? Or are their cars handling better?

Hydroplaning Issues

I don't have any particular problems, and am wondering if the tires are groved for water displacement and are on in the correct direction. If they are on backwards you would be directing water in instead of out.

just a thought.

Hydroplaning Issues

Josh, How is the tread on your tires? Also, how is the front end alignment? A couple of trucks that I had in the past handled very similar during rain. One problem is that the front tires would wear on the outside after time. Alignment would keep the wear down to a minimum, but Ford trucks were also notorious for outer wear on the right/front passenger side tire. Once the front tires were worn a little, it would be tough to keep her on the road. This, in conjunction with and empty bed and no weight on the rear tires can make a truck feel like it wants to slide. You may want to check your tires or even rotate them. Bring your rear tires up front and drop the fronts to the back. Just a thought. Good luck. Jake.
