Home'made ravioli. It is an Italian thing. We have had ravioli ever since I was a kid. After we would get done stuffing ourselves, my grandmother would then come out with the turkey, mashed potatoes and everything else. Man! Good eaten' leftovers.

Looks like a lot of us aint eating to good. Kyle I made bbq the last time he was at home and since I still had a $.39 lb. bird in the freezer, mom wanted it cooked. We'll eat good and there will be a big void in the freezer now.
Jake it sounds like you have a long family tradition going. :-)

Well, I was ready to cook up a real nice smoked ham, but the kids and I are going over to Grandma's for dinner instead.

What's up with the ham? one poster IS eating a ham and one is saved from ham only because his wife is at the hospital. Jowilker has the right idea on the turkey. Haven't you ham fans read Leviticus 11:7? Eat no pigs! DF

DF, Some of us have the whole book, you know the one with the second half, and don't live under the law because of redemption.
Bless God and pass me some more of that ham brother. ;-)

John, I have read the 'second half' of the book and nowhere do I find that we were told eating pigs is okay. The death of Yahushua paid the price, in blood, for our sins. This grace gives us the opportunity to ask Yahweh for our salvation and frees us from having to make blood sacrifices, but we are still not supposed to eat pigs. Where do some get the idea that all foods are now clean? Cal

Hi, I didn't know there was a problem with eating Ham for Easter. For years we have had both a ham AND a turkey (big family). I tried to look up that chapter and verse, but couldn't find it. I Hope I didn't offend anyone. I consider myself to be a pretty good Christian (Catholic), though I don't attend church (except weddings and funerals), and I guess I don't follow the bible by every exact word (like no meat on any friday). BTW, I'm not married. "Momma" (my girlfriend of 5 years) has 3 kids from a previous marriage, and I have 1 from my previous marriage. We don't live together, but they are here a lot, and do stay over sometimes. We plan on tying the knot in the near future, Once my job situation is taken care of. Anyways, Enough about me! I'm hoping I didn't offend anyone, and I hope you all had a really great Easter.

Kenny, I can relate. I have spent many holiday's with my wife working at night. She is a nurse and works twelve hour shifts. The hospital will call out of the blue any time, day or night. Easter, christmas, and thanksgiving have all been a work day at one time or another. As for the pig, I seem to recall having ham at one peticular time in my life during the holiday's but I am not sure if it was for Easter or not. We normally eat ravioli. I don't think that there is anything against that. Lol.

Yeah, unfortunately people don't stop getting sick or hurt even though it's a holiday.
I can also relate to the ravioli. Growing up, we had macaroni every Sunday! (Italian thing here too!)

I can identify with the getting called out on holidays thing! This past Thanksgiving our dept was called out for a 1 vehicle rollover at 10AM! Turns out the vehicle that rolled over was a Propane Tanker, and it held liquid propane. That was an interesting Thanksgiving to say the least. We were 3 hours late leaving to go up to my grandmothers place for thanksgiving. After the truck was righted back on all fours, we finally let people back into their houses after an hour had passed. We evacuated them because the truck had a 50% load of propane! Needless to say we didn't want anyone in the "danger area" if it would have gone off.
Yes, I can say that I know how it is. We get them all the time.
