Yes, if the float is out of adjustment ( and not checked during carb rebuild) it would definitely cause problems. I'd expect to pay $30 for some sort of initial diagnosis. If you go with the shop for repairs, they'll usually apply that $$ to the fix.

1979 f-100 302 carb/vacume issues
i just bought a 1979 f-100 and it had a rebuilt carb, holley. after replacing wires, plugs, cap, rotor, and made some small adj to the carb, it runs. i am not sure wair the vacume hoses go, thay were not tagged or marked when i got them. none of them are hooked up, and the ports of the carb all have pulgs in them.
does someone know whair i can get a vacume diagram for a f-100 1979?
