C3AE-6015-H is on the front passenger side of block. Think it is a 63 motor but can not find anything on the H! Bn all over the Web and found others with the same block. No one knows what it is for sure. I'm guessing 360 block. Intake is C3AE-9425-B. Any help?
Chris
Does it have a large "HP" on the block below the casting The 360 was not put into production until 68, and then it is the same block as the 390... I would have to guess you are looking at a 352, but you need to measure the cylinder bore, that will tell you what's up.

I did not see anything in my books for the C3AE-6015-H block number.
and i dont have anything on intakes
maybe someone could send me some
If i had to guess with that year block i would look at it being a 352 or a 390 before i would a 360.
Its in a 74 F-100 4x4. I found the truck in a pine forest for $1K. I know its an FE block. Has 4BBL manifold. I changed some gaskets on it, and they looked like original cork. No sealant anywhere on them. I have problems getting small things like a Thermostat. The one in the motor was big. Had to ask for one from a 64 352CID to get the right size.
Ok the C3AE-6015-H is a service replacement block for the police car 390's. This block is the service replacement for the C3AE-E 390 block. On the intake you sure it's a B and not E? I have a C3AE-E 1x4 aluminum lowriser and a C3AE-K 2x4 aluminum lowriser. If it's a B I'll dig deeper and find out. G.
Found it. Listed as a 63 390 intake. I'm assuming it's iron as it's not spec'ed as aluminum. Hey what is the number after the 6090 opposite the C3AE on the heads? G.
OK, just saw a 390 intake on e-bay with same #'s C3AE-9425-B. It is billed as a Police Interceptor Manifold 1963. Do you know if this motor has hydro or solid lifters by the book?
Thanks
It lists the block as a hyd lifter block but also has a note that lifter galleys to be blocked for solid cam PI applications. From what I understand about that casting it was used in service block applications for both hyd and solid lifter cams. Kind of a dual purpose block if you will. But it listed as the 390 PI engine block replacement for the C3-E. With the PI intake I'd have to safely say the 390 came out of an old cop car before finding it's home in your truck.
The C3-C heads came in two versions. First listing are late 406 heads with valve spring seat cups and a larger 1.66 exaust valve. Head cc's listed as 56.4-61. Second the same heads were used on many 390's without the seat cups and smaller exaust 1.55 valves. CC's are the same at 56.4-61. Both are a 63 listing.
