Thumbs up Phantom Supercharger

Have any of you folks noticed that some mornings when you are heading to work your truck just "Runs Good"!?! For no apparent reason, it has like 20-30 more horse than it did the night before. This is not just a feeling, I am sure that if you dyno'd my truck last night, then dyno'd it again this morning there would have been a big difference. It almost made me hit the interstate instead of go to work. Does this happen to any of you? What is the cause of this Phantom Supercharger? It sure is nice though, makes me want to go out and hunt some rice tonight.

You'll also find this effect on spring and fall mornings and evenings. It's because the air is cooler, which means it's denser and therefore the engine is able to make more power. Drag racers have always said that "when it's cool out, there's another tenth in the air".

But sometimes there is no discernable temp. difference. It just runs stronger.

Moisture content in the air will also affect performance. The laws of physics are laws, not suggestions.
