05 owners,

Does the new trans in the V10 Sd still have the annoying trq converter in and out crap, like when you let off the throttle the converter unlocks, then when you resume it slowly locks up again.I absolutly hate this on my 2000.

the 05 v-10 is so smooth you dont notice it shifting until you mash on it and then she talks to you.

But can you feel and hear the converter locking and unlocking? With my exhaust it is more noticeable because I can really hear it,let off the gas it unlocks then when you get going again it is like the trans re engages.

Mine is silky smooth too. In Tow/haul it can make some pretty aggressive downshifts and the way it holds your speed in check is very nice. This Torqueshift Auto/V10 is a sweet combination and I would love to drive a stick V10 for comparison but I am glad I went with the Auto trans.

Yes, I agree. This tq transmission is a giant leap forward especially when I am towing my TT. 2005 F-250 410, tq, supercab, sb.

I know with my 04 I can still see the RPM's drop a little as it locks up. Not sure with the '05.

Killer of Z71s The 5R110 is set up totally different, the hydraulic shift solenoids are always under pressure and there is no delay for the up or down shifts, the annoying TQ lock un-lock dance you refer to is non-existent. Total shame that there is no easy way to adapt this trans back-wards to a 2v v10 as it would be as good as a BTS.

When you need to upgrade your 4R100 get Brian to do it. The TQ he will recommend, and the changes he does to the internals, (pumps, shift timing, valve body mods) all work to make the 4R100 a completely different animal vs a stock unit. Seriously brother, well worth every penny.

Yeh, Whats the deal with that anoying lock/unlock crap the 4R100 does. It bugs the crap out of me when I go up a hill on the highway, crest the top, let off and lightly press on the gas and the converter unlocks for no apparent reason, WTF. I have no input on the subject so I won't ask any more but this is very anoying.

the other thing I like about the torqueshift is when is when you are in tow/haul mode and you are pulling if you let of the gas the transmision wont upshift on you she will hold the gear until you get back on the gas.
