I'm looking to put small switches in the door/arm rest forward controls. Just aft of the power mirror switch. Since I don't have the crew cab, I don't have the extra rear window switches. I've had that panel off before. There's room under it. No holes in the dash that way. And everything at my finger tips. Probably room for four/maybe six switches there. There's holes in the door/door jam for a small wire loom. And if I want, that panel can't be more than $20 to replace.

That's another good idea. Think it will be easy to route the wires?
What about through the body frame?
Another thought as I looked at Steve's idea, perhaps on the A-Pillar?
Well, that may look a bit too tacky....
Then there's tons of room on the door panel itself....

Dunno', just brainstorming....

But Steve, I like that spot too, take some pics wher yer done, eh?

Thx,
Steve...

Nope, I can't use the pillar.. Well, I guess I could, there's actually pleny of room.

But not a lot of flat surface facing the driver on the gauge pod. There is however, a lot of room for wire looms going to the underside of the dash there though. There's room to spare even with wires from the Boost/EGT gauges and Boost gauge pressure tubing.

Wiring from the door to the dash looks to be pretty simple. Cut holes in the already installed gromets. Feed through taped wound wire loom with extra strands of wire so there's no need to pull it out/adjust it another time. I want the factory look, so I'm not happy with the switches I've found thusfar. I want what appear to be window switches, but that are detented rocker types. If I install the factory rear window switches for the crew cab, then I could wire relay control for two circuits. I was hoping to put four circuit control there. That would only give me two controls for light's or whatever.

You could purchase the Upfitter Switches from Ford. They install in the little cubby hole in the dash. And there's already relay circuitry in our factory wiring.

These look pretty cool. And I can pick them up locally to save shipping/handling fees.

I've got a link at home to some other labeled switches that I'll dig up and post here too.
