Radius Arm Bushing

I know this is a SORE subject for MOST of us, but I have a '94 Bronco XLT with a blown passenger side Radius Arm Bushing (fried by the pre-cat), and I know I need to set aside $100 to fix it and have the "correction" kit installed (the heat shield)...

My question is how SOON should I get this done?...The truck has 48,000 miles and is on 33 inch tires (3" of body lift)...I am just concerned the extra "work" the steering and suspension system does with these tires, the lift, and weekly towing (2,000 pounds) may make this a significant priority in order to help preserve the other steering and suspension parts...

Thoughts?

I think you probably already know the answer to this one.I would make the repairs to the front end ASAP to avoid bad wear on your tires if nothing else. The Ford IFS front suspensions are hard enough on tires when everything is at 100%. Steering and front suspension arent something that should be left in disrepair for very long.

If the busings are worn they should be replaced today. The longer you wait the more damage you could cause the arms. If the busing is worn the radius arm is rubbing against the bracket, you will probaly have to replace both if left this way.

YUP, My brothers speak words of truth.... do not delay, make haste and rip out the bushings that offend thee..... and BUY THE ADJUSTABLE BUSHINGS! Change them both out, just do it, do it now, and then forget about it.
