Seriously, check Bell Tech kits. They specialize in lowering kits, and generally have everything needed in the kit. I have never lowered anything newer than a 60 model truck, but several years ago, they had a kit available for 45 fat fender f1 a buddy and me built. The kit came with everything we needed!!
i have ground force 2/4 lowering kit on my truck and it rides soo nice. i didnt want to go too low, like the 4/6. i have an 03 4.2l f150, and with the 2/4 drop i can still park all the way up next to the parking stop without hittin my bumper. when i get pictures i will post them for you. after the kit was installed and settled i went on a road trip with my dad to orlando, about 4 hours away. the ride was nice, not harsh, i was very pleased with it. i found the kit on ebay for like $360, or somethin like that, well worth the money.
i say if its a 2 wheel drive lower it if its a 4x4 then lift it. it just depends on the look you are wanting. i lowered my 2002 f150 EXCAB WITH A 4.6L, I used a belltech kit with a 3/4 drop, which i think, is the best kit you can buy fot the price. the parts are all quality and its easy to install it even included shocks. i got if all for about $470 from stylinconcepts.com. plus belltech makes anti sway bars. pics of the truck are in my gallery.
Any pictures of the belltech or groundforce lowering kits installed in trucks? Pictures greatly appreciated. Thanks! What size of wheels do you guys have?

i have the belltech 3/4 drop on my truck and i am running 20 inch wheels. there are pics of the truck in my gallery.
No pics but I have 3in Belltech springs and a 4in DJM shackle/hanger kit. Ride wasn't bad but when I hit a bump it was kinda hard. I removed the overload leaf spring and it rides MUCH better plus it dropped the back another inch . Rims are 18inch.
EDIT: Got it on ebay for $170 shipped, brand new. I got the shocks (Belltech Nitro) from truckperformance.com for about $145.
your truck will ride and handle alot better. if you have a fiberglass bed cover and put on a 3/4 drop it may make your truck sit level and not a sprt rake. thats what happened to mine but it still looks good. i think i am going to add a set of helper springs or bag the rear later. if you hit a bump hard it will be hard on you to, the bump stops on the frame will hit in the rear.
well i got rid of my 150 and now have a lincoln mark LT. i just wonder if you can out an air bag suspension on it to lower it, because its 4 wheel drive. ome say you can and others say no.
