BRAKE PROBLEMS

I HAVE A 92 F250 4X4 HD
ONE OF THE FRONT BRAKES LOCKED UP, AS I HAVE 133000 MILES I REPLACED BRAKES,ROTORS AND CALIPERS. I AM STILL GETTING TOO MUCH DRAG AFTER APPLYING THE BRAKES. YOU CAN FEEL THE TRUCK HAVE TO PUSH, AND IT WILL PULL TO ONE SIDE AFTER BRAKING.
WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS?

BRAKE PROBLEMS

Allthough not common on FORD,you may want to change the brake hoses just in case they are what is still causing the problem.Another problem may be the powerbooster push rod,but,this would only be if someone removed are changed either the booster or master cylinder since the truck was new.If you check here,make sure the piston of the cylinder can return against the snap ring that stops it,without the pushrod touching it.Post back if you have more info.

BRAKE PROBLEMS

I have the same problem with my F150. I've narrowed it down to either a faulty master cylinder or if you can tell which tire is locking, it could be that hose going to that tire.

THE BOOSTER AND MASTER CYLINDER ARE ORIGINAL.

BRAKE PROBLEMS

Replace the brake line going to the calipers. They can colapse and fluid can get to the calipers but can't return, which causes the brake and calipers to stick.

BRAKE PROBLEMS

Make sure the calipers can slide in the rails.
This is frequently overlooked during overhaul.
The rails should be clean and the mating
surfaces on the calipers should be clean as
well. I usually put a little anti-seize
compound in there for good measure.

If the calipers can't slide one side will bind
up against the rotor and drag.

Also, make sure your pads are wearing evenly
every time you have the wheel off. Calipers
can seize just about anytime.
