I'm not frowning on it, I just don't want to read a post that starts with "unnamed FTE enthusiast collapsed while hand mowing property in 102 degree temperatures." We're not as young as we used to be.

Archer, honest question here. How is cruise control on a garden tractor anything more than a marketing gimmick? My case from 1979 will maintain a constant ground speed since the engine is governed. If it isn't overloaded, the governor will open the throttle on a hill and maintin engine rpm and ground speed. Just wondering how this cruise control system is any different.

Parks911 - a modern day Sisyphus. 28.4 miles per mowing, thats marathon distance in more ways than one. More power to you (pun intended).

6 acres by hand??!!

I used to mow 4 field acres with my Craftsman 20 hp tractor and a 44 inch deck. It would take me about 4-5 hours every weekend. And you want to do 6 by hand??!! You need to be put in a nice cool dark padded room.

Must be short even grass. Can't imaginge 6 unless it is like golf course grass.

Good Luck,

Jim Henderson
