Anyone ever used the Grass Gator heavy duty brush head for string trimmers? This is the 3 bladed, metal blade one. I have tall grass and thistle type weeds which become stringy and sinewy when dry, and the string tends to just wind it up, if it even cuts it.
I've rented and used a brush mower for the flatter ares, but still have the whoop de doos and corners to get to.
I hit a chunk of metal fence post hidden in some brush. And it shattered. I ended up with three stitches in my leg. Really worked right up to then though.

Ouch! Thanks for the warning...I still have a lot of hidden rocks to take care of before I have all the mowing obstacles gone. I'll just use the gator for tje worst thick stuff off the ground.
Wear thick denim or something extra prtective for your shins. These things are awesome, I have one on a 31cc trimmer to take care of blackberries. And if you do use ot for something really heavy duty like blackberries make sure to get extra blades, they do occasionally break, for me anyway.
