Question Advanced Security Group- F250

I have just bought a 2005 F-250 Lariat SuperCab shortbed, 6.0
I was told by the salesman that I had a 'passive' alarm with the
engine startup disengage enabled. I had no reason to doubt him,
although I should have. To lock my doors I press once on my Keyless
entry, twice to supposably enable alarm and horn blows.
The little dome on my dash is supposed to blink red, it does not.
I have locked the doors, with window down then opened door and got in and started engine with no alarm sounding.
The Door sticker says I have the Advanced Security Group and the Lariat
Luxury group. All I can find on the Advanced Security Group is that it provides keyless entry, lights up dome light, but nothing about an alarm.
I went to Ford.com and built my own and never had an option to add a
security alarm, if I do the same thing for an Expedition I see that the security alarm is an option. Doesn't the F-250 have a factory alarm option.
If I don't have a security alarm then why do I have that little dome on my dash.
