IIRC I think I paid $120 for the cluster, in this case the plastic face was cracked so that it and the fancy FX4 trim plate were not useable. But I knew that when I bought it, all I wanted was the instrument cluster itself and thats what I paid for. I'm just having a hard time remembering the cost, it was some months ago. Bought it from our own Chris Adams, and was very pleased to be able to business with him. I do like having the tach, and I like the look of the cluster even without the FX4 trim. The mod itself is pretty easy even for someone like myself who had not pulled a dash apart for years.

Good post. Now if anyone can tell me what to insert that is more functional than the cigarette lighter I would be most appreciative. No one smokes in my rig. So the lighter sits there unused. Is there an after market part that can replace the cigarette light hole?

I did a search without results.

You've seen my switches, but heck there is a lot of good 'real estate' there for mounting XM or just about anything. And if you change your mind, you can just buy another plastic piece pretty cheap and put it back.
