Anyone know production numbers for the 3 cab styles on Super Duties? Just curious, as I would like a reg. cab but just don't see many. By browsing dealer lots I would guess 50-60% are crewcab and the rest probably split about even between reg. and extended.
It seemed to me that the single cabs were lower trim levels, mostly bought as work trucks. Where as the ext cab and especially the crew cabs were higher trim levels. Plus it's hard to go back down once you've had the larger cabs. I suspect resale is higher and thus the dealers can get more money for the used ones.
Your numbers seem pretty close to what I observe locally. there is one crew cab for nearly every other cab I see.
X2 on ReAX, from what I've seen single cabs are popular on trucks that'll have replacement beds installed. Usually the ones I see are commercial chassis models with the 9.5' bed option, which I think is only available on the duallys. Smaller cab, longer bed, and still driveable in normal places.
And just an FYI, the XLT trim is the highest you can go with a regular cab. KRs are all crew cabs only. Lariats are crew and super if I remember right.
