I have tried several different things to get my 02 to have fogs that work by them self or with highs with no luck. For some reason there are 02's out there with differant wiring harness than others. The fog lamps on mine with the autolamp does not have the power affected by the switch but the ground that is in the steering colum. I have tried several differant mods with no succss. I know that you can get the brite box that will let you have the fogs w parking/low/high but not by them selves.

Here is a link to the fog light fix that has great instructions and pictures. It will tell you the color of the wires and if you have those colored wires this mod should work for you.

make sure to use a relay though if you run a separate switch.
