Front mount hitch installed

Well the 40 minute install was a little off. Took about 2 hours to get the hitch installed. I was even able to modify the fog light brackets to fit again. I had to switch the sides, cut off some plastic and re adjust the angle. A tight fit but they work. Now I can carry my rack for camping, fishing and hunting with out blocking the rear doors!

Was that a hitch reciever you installed? Where did you buy and how much? What is the capacity? I am thinking of installing one for my 00 Ex. Thanks,

Yes. It was a "Hidden Hitch". Got it from etrailer. $140 with shipping.. It has a tow capacity of 9000lbs with a 500lb tongue wt.

thanks for the come back SD, is the front the same height as the rear rcvr? BTW nice out of sight installation.

It mounts directly to the frame. It looks to be the same height as the rear. It is made to be recessed like that. I'm happy with it...
